From Yarn Traders – 4 skeins of each colour, and all for less than $20 including shipping. Good stuff.
It’s viscose, but the colours and sheen look dreamy. I don’t know yet what the raspberry will become, but I’d like to turn the honey-colour into the Brioche Bodice from Interweave Knits Summer 2006.
Also in the news, my Airy Lace Wrap-around Sweater from Fitted Knits is halfway done – just the front ties to go. The sleeves might be a little long, but I’ll wait until it’s sewn up to make a call. I’m not convinced it will matter; unlike the
cable panels for the back and sleeves that got shortened considerably.
Now I just have to go on a sewing kick to get the dress done. I’m tempted to wait until summer when I’m home in Christchurch, but really I’ll just play it by ear. If I feel like sewing before then, it’ll be done earlier.
